We have been matched with not two but three children. Here is the deal. Two weeks ago our adoption agency contacted us about brothers ages 4 and 1. We were very excited but had to wait to get their medical papers to make sure they were healthy. The day we were to receive the papers and be matched their sister showed up at the orphanage. So we had to pray about the option of adopting all three or none. After prayer and wise counsel we felt that these were are children. We are overwhelmed with joy, excitement and fear. For about two days I shed many tears and felt very unable to be the mom that they needed. God has brought us so much peace. The word of God wipes out all of my fears. If I start to meditate on my fears I turn to scripture and the peace flows over me and I can breath again. God has called us down this road and i know it will not be easy but we are trusting Him. Please pray for our family that the Lord would prepare all of us for this transition. We hope to travel in about three months to bring them home. We will keep their names and give them middle names.

Wow Jen! Thanks for posting this. You are a mother of five now. Wow! I could see how you are feeling a little overwhelmed but encouraging to know that you are opening up your Bible to calm your fears. A good reminder for me to not just read the word daily but even when fear creeps in. Praying for you this day!

I have been following your blog thanks to Abby McNair. I don't know if you remember me from Hastings or not, but what an inspiring person you are! It is funny how we all grew up a little bit and became wiser in the word of God. I am praying for you and am in awe that you are doing this....like I said, what an inspiration to others you are and what a wonderful mother to these 3 children you will be....our world is in need of more parents like you guys! Congrats and Gods speed!
